# DDLock vs Blackview Security

The clearest difference is rating: DDLock at 2.9 against Blackview Security's 2.0. DDLock also leads on ratings volume (99 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DDLock holds the better App Store score, 2.9 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DDLock has 99 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of DDLock's written reviews are positive against 25% of Blackview Security's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DDLock ships an update every 4 months, Blackview Security every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
