# Cognitive Boost vs Connect Words

The clearest difference is ads: Cognitive Boost at none against Connect Words's shown. Cognitive Boost also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). Connect Words's advantage is ratings volume (50K vs 13) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 11 days). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cognitive Boost holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Connect Words has 50K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cognitive Boost ships an update every 11 days, Connect Words every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
