# VideoTogether vs PlanCoach

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: VideoTogether at none against PlanCoach's 7. VideoTogether also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). PlanCoach's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (21 vs 4). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PlanCoach sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. VideoTogether asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for VideoTogether against 4.5 for PlanCoach. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PlanCoach has 21 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VideoTogether ships an update every 6 weeks, PlanCoach every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
