# Faztaa vs German with Rex

The clearest difference is ads: German with Rex at none against Faztaa's shown. German with Rex also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and review sentiment (100% vs 78%). Faztaa's advantage is ratings volume (21 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Faztaa sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 3 months and German with Rex sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

German with Rex holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Faztaa has 21 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 78% of Faztaa's written reviews are positive against 100% of German with Rex's.

Faztaa ships an update fortnightly, German with Rex every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
