# UPICK vs Fanlight

The clearest difference is rating: Fanlight at 2.3 against UPICK's 1.1. Fanlight also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ads (none vs shown). UPICK's advantage is ratings volume (577 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UPICK sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Fanlight asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fanlight holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 1.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UPICK has 577 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 3% of UPICK's written reviews are positive against 0% of Fanlight's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UPICK ships an update fortnightly, Fanlight daily. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
