# Scentist vs Aromadd

The clearest difference is rating: Aromadd at 1.7 against Scentist's 1.5. Aromadd also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (74 vs 11). Scentist's advantage is review sentiment (20% vs 9%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Aromadd holds the better App Store score, 1.7 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aromadd has 74 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Scentist's written reviews are positive against 9% of Aromadd's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Scentist ships an update every 3 months, Aromadd monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
