# Minimalist Notes vs SELECT

The clearest difference is update cadence: SELECT at daily against Minimalist Notes's every 5 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Minimalist Notes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per year and SELECT sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Minimalist Notes ships an update every 5 days, SELECT daily. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
