# 手書きノート vs Plane Notes

The clearest difference is ads: 手書きノート at none against Plane Notes's shown. 手書きノート also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Plane Notes's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 手書きノート sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.49 per month and Plane Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

手書きノート ships an update every 5 months, Plane Notes every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
