# CanGoal vs Bird Diary

The clearest difference is rating: Bird Diary at 5.0 against CanGoal's 4.7. CanGoal's advantage is ratings volume (73 vs 10) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CanGoal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Bird Diary sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bird Diary holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CanGoal has 73 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 95% of CanGoal's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bird Diary's.

CanGoal ships an update every 11 days, Bird Diary every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
