# ChatSpace vs privo.chat

The clearest difference is rating: privo.chat at 5.0 against ChatSpace's 4.6. privo.chat also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). ChatSpace's advantage is ratings volume (4K vs 4) and chart position (#71 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChatSpace sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and privo.chat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

privo.chat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatSpace has 4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ChatSpace ships an update fortnightly, privo.chat every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
