# ChatSpace vs YappingApp

The clearest difference is review sentiment: YappingApp at 67% against ChatSpace's 16%. YappingApp also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3). ChatSpace's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (3.4K vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChatSpace sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. YappingApp asks for nothing beyond the download.

ChatSpace holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatSpace has 3.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of ChatSpace's written reviews are positive against 67% of YappingApp's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ChatSpace ships an update fortnightly, YappingApp monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
