# Heritage Press vs Parenting Tools

The clearest difference is monetization model: Parenting Tools at free with in-app purchases against Heritage Press's subscription. Parenting Tools also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Both are free to download. Heritage Press sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Parenting Tools sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Heritage Press against 4.8 for Parenting Tools. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 66 and 45 respectively.
