# Journal vs Miuu Note

The clearest difference is update cadence: Miuu Note at every 2 days against Journal's every 6 weeks. Journal's advantage is review sentiment (90% vs 61%) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 30). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Journal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Miuu Note sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Journal holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Journal has 1.8K ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of Journal's written reviews are positive against 61% of Miuu Note's.

Journal ships an update every 6 weeks, Miuu Note every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
