# Lucky Diary vs Simplify Text

The clearest difference is ads: Simplify Text at none against Lucky Diary's shown. Lucky Diary's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lucky Diary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Simplify Text sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lucky Diary ships an update weekly, Simplify Text every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
