# Kokopay vs Crane App

The clearest difference is rating: Crane App at 4.5 against Kokopay's 3.7. Crane App also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (201 vs 31). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Crane App holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Crane App has 201 ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Kokopay's written reviews are positive against 64% of Crane App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kokopay ships an update every 5 months, Crane App every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
