# One Academy vs Bites

The clearest difference is review sentiment: One Academy at 100% against Bites's 43%. One Academy also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Bites's advantage is ratings volume (2.2K vs 5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bites sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. One Academy asks for nothing beyond the download.

One Academy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bites has 2.2K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of One Academy's written reviews are positive against 43% of Bites's.

One Academy ships an update every 6 weeks, Bites fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
