# Cohere vs Direct Knowing

The clearest difference is rating: Direct Knowing at 5.0 against Cohere's 4.2. Cohere's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Direct Knowing holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cohere has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Cohere ships an update every 2 weeks, Direct Knowing every 7 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
