# Direct English vs Educourse

The clearest difference is update cadence: Direct English at every 5 weeks against Educourse's every 3 months. Educourse's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Direct English sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Educourse sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
