# Pastille vs Themee

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Pastille at 100% against Themee's 50%. Pastille also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Themee's advantage is ratings volume (36 vs 3) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pastille holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Themee has 36 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Pastille's written reviews are positive against 50% of Themee's.

Pastille ships an update monthly, Themee every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
