# VPN vs My Vipe

The clearest difference is rating: My Vipe at 5.0 against VPN's 4.2. My Vipe also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). VPN's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (54% vs 28%). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. My Vipe asks for nothing beyond the download.

My Vipe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 7.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 28% of My Vipe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN ships an update weekly, My Vipe every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
