# Smartmex vs PreFinanSys

The clearest difference is update cadence: PreFinanSys at every 4 days against Smartmex's every 2 months. PreFinanSys also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Smartmex ships an update every 2 months, PreFinanSys every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
