# vibee vs Light Player

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Light Player at 70 against vibee's 3. Light Player also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 75%) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. vibee sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Light Player sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for vibee against 4.6 for Light Player. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Light Player has 70 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of vibee's written reviews are positive against 90% of Light Player's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
