# SNote vs Focus Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Focus Timer at 5.0 against SNote's 4.3. Focus Timer also leads on ads (none vs shown). SNote's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Focus Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus Timer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SNote has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SNote ships an update every 3 weeks, Focus Timer every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
