# Lifelog vs Eggnote

Lifelog and Eggnote both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 85% of Lifelog's written reviews are positive against 20% of Eggnote's. Lifelog also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). Eggnote's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lifelog sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Eggnote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Eggnote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lifelog has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Lifelog's written reviews are positive against 20% of Eggnote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lifelog ships an update every 4 days, Eggnote every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
