# Element Note vs Binder

The clearest difference is rating: Element Note at 4.6 against Binder's 3.3. Element Note also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.6K vs 3). Binder's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Element Note sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per year and Binder sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Element Note holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Element Note has 2.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of Element Note's written reviews are positive against 50% of Binder's.

Element Note ships an update fortnightly, Binder every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
