# My Cat vs Virtual Scary Cat Simulator 3D

My Cat and Virtual Scary Cat Simulator 3D both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Virtual Scary Cat Simulator 3D's written reviews are positive against 40% of My Cat's. Virtual Scary Cat Simulator 3D also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). My Cat's advantage is ratings volume (580 vs 7) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

My Cat holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Cat has 580 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of My Cat's written reviews are positive against 100% of Virtual Scary Cat Simulator 3D's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

My Cat ships an update every 6 weeks, Virtual Scary Cat Simulator 3D every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
