# Pip vs TAILG

The clearest difference is rating: Pip at 4.6 against TAILG's 2.8. Pip also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 12) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 4 months). TAILG's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pip holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pip has 1.2K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 41% of Pip's written reviews are positive against 33% of TAILG's.

Pip ships an update every 4 weeks, TAILG every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
