# Mining Master vs Giant Excavator

The clearest difference is update cadence: Mining Master at every 5 days against Giant Excavator's every 4 months. Mining Master also leads on ratings volume (3.7K vs 547). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mining Master sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Giant Excavator sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Mining Master against 4.7 for Giant Excavator. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mining Master has 3.7K ratings behind it against 547, so its average is the more settled of the two.
