# MTE vs Clefable

The clearest difference is ads: MTE at none against Clefable's shown. MTE also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 23 months). Clefable's advantage is ratings volume (55 vs 10). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MTE sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Clefable sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for MTE against 4.9 for Clefable. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clefable has 55 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MTE ships an update monthly, Clefable every 23 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
