# Kernkompetenz vs Pour Ellie

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pour Ellie at every 3 months against Kernkompetenz's every 6 months. Kernkompetenz's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kernkompetenz sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Pour Ellie sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kernkompetenz ships an update every 6 months, Pour Ellie every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
