# Printcil vs Stencify

Printcil and Stencify both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Stencify's written reviews are positive against 63% of Printcil's. Stencify also leads on ratings volume (79 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Printcil sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Stencify sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Printcil holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stencify has 79 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Printcil's written reviews are positive against 100% of Stencify's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Printcil ships an update fortnightly, Stencify every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
