# HoloKit vs Mobile VR Station® (Ported)

The clearest difference is review sentiment: HoloKit at 67% against Mobile VR Station® (Ported)'s 20%. HoloKit also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). Mobile VR Station® (Ported)'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 7 months). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mobile VR Station® (Ported) sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. HoloKit asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mobile VR Station® (Ported) holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mobile VR Station® (Ported) has 49 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of HoloKit's written reviews are positive against 20% of Mobile VR Station® (Ported)'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HoloKit ships an update every 7 months, Mobile VR Station® (Ported) every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
