# Laundry Timer vs Solshield

The clearest difference is ads: Solshield at none against Laundry Timer's shown. Solshield also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Laundry Timer's advantage is ratings volume (20 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Laundry Timer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per year and Solshield sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Laundry Timer against 5.0 for Solshield. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Laundry Timer has 20 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
