# MDRK vs VPN

The clearest difference is rating: VPN at 4.7 against MDRK's 2.7. VPN also leads on ratings volume (440 vs 3). MDRK's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. MDRK asks for nothing beyond the download.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 440 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MDRK ships an update every 3 weeks, VPN fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
