# Metro Flex vs ZEV Carshare

The clearest difference is rating: ZEV Carshare at 5.0 against Metro Flex's 4.6. ZEV Carshare also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 weeks). Metro Flex's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ZEV Carshare holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Metro Flex has 1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Metro Flex ships an update every 4 weeks, ZEV Carshare every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
