# RVL Go vs YumRead

The clearest difference is rating: YumRead at 4.7 against RVL Go's 3.8. YumRead also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 4) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). RVL Go's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YumRead sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. RVL Go asks for nothing beyond the download.

YumRead holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YumRead has 1.4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of RVL Go's written reviews are positive against 82% of YumRead's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RVL Go ships an update monthly, YumRead every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
