# Zichru vs Modern Split Minute™

The clearest difference is update cadence: Modern Split Minute™ at every 2 weeks against Zichru's every 2 months. Modern Split Minute™ also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Zichru's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 3). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Zichru against 5.0 for Modern Split Minute™. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zichru has 19 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Zichru ships an update every 2 months, Modern Split Minute™ every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
