# Freecycle vs Scrap Map

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Freecycle at none against Scrap Map's 1. Scrap Map's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scrap Map sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per month. Freecycle asks for nothing beyond the download.

Freecycle ships an update every 5 weeks, Scrap Map every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 8, 2026.
