# keyboard2 vs The Browser

The clearest difference is rating: The Browser at 5.0 against keyboard2's 3.8. The Browser also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 8 days). keyboard2's advantage is ratings volume (22 vs 2). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. keyboard2 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. The Browser asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Browser holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: keyboard2 has 22 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

keyboard2 ships an update every 8 days, The Browser every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
