# Backup Disk vs QPhoto Backup

The clearest difference is update cadence: QPhoto Backup at every 2 weeks against Backup Disk's every 9 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backup Disk sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and QPhoto Backup sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backup Disk ships an update every 9 months, QPhoto Backup every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
