# OMA vs Secure Trace

The clearest difference is update cadence: Secure Trace at every 2 weeks against OMA's every 19 months. OMA's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OMA ships an update every 19 months, Secure Trace every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
