# IFR Flight Simulator vs AviateIQ

The clearest difference is update cadence: IFR Flight Simulator at every 5 days against AviateIQ's every 6 weeks. IFR Flight Simulator also leads on ratings volume (107 vs 8). AviateIQ's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and review sentiment (86% vs 65%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IFR Flight Simulator sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and AviateIQ sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
