# IFR Flight Simulator vs Rotaite

The clearest difference is rating: Rotaite at 5.0 against IFR Flight Simulator's 4.3. IFR Flight Simulator's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (103 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IFR Flight Simulator sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Rotaite sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rotaite holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IFR Flight Simulator has 103 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

IFR Flight Simulator ships an update every 5 days, Rotaite every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
