# SW Maps vs QR Vector

The clearest difference is update cadence: QR Vector at every 4 weeks against SW Maps's every 2 months. SW Maps's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SW Maps ships an update every 2 months, QR Vector every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
