# FitGate vs GymNation

The clearest difference is rating: FitGate at 5.0 against GymNation's 2.7. FitGate also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). GymNation's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FitGate holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GymNation has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FitGate ships an update monthly, GymNation every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
