# GameTime vs Stopwatch & Countdown Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Stopwatch & Countdown Timer at 4.3 against GameTime's 2.0. Stopwatch & Countdown Timer also leads on ratings volume (600 vs 1). GameTime's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stopwatch & Countdown Timer sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. GameTime asks for nothing beyond the download.

Stopwatch & Countdown Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stopwatch & Countdown Timer has 600 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of GameTime's written reviews are positive against 26% of Stopwatch & Countdown Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on September 18, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
