# StarRoom vs Jimo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Jimo at none against StarRoom's 4. Jimo also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). StarRoom's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StarRoom sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Jimo asks for nothing beyond the download.

Jimo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StarRoom has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

StarRoom ships an update every 10 days, Jimo fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
