# RainBytes vs Cold & Breathwork

RainBytes and Cold & Breathwork both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of RainBytes's written reviews are positive against 33% of Cold & Breathwork's. Cold & Breathwork's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RainBytes sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Cold & Breathwork sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cold & Breathwork holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 65 and 46 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of RainBytes's written reviews are positive against 33% of Cold & Breathwork's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RainBytes ships an update every 2 weeks, Cold & Breathwork every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
