# Assignment Tracker vs Homeroom

The clearest difference is ads: Assignment Tracker at none against Homeroom's shown. Assignment Tracker also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). Homeroom's advantage is iOS requirement (15.3 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Assignment Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Homeroom sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Assignment Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Assignment Tracker has 98 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 31% and 31% positive.

Assignment Tracker ships an update every 8 days, Homeroom every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 11, 2026.
