# Assignment Tracker vs Cinch

The clearest difference is monetization model: Assignment Tracker at freemium against Cinch's subscription. Assignment Tracker also leads on ratings volume (90 vs 1). Cinch's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Assignment Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Cinch sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cinch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Assignment Tracker has 90 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Assignment Tracker ships an update every 2 weeks, Cinch every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
